St. Cloud Apollo High School

St. Cloud, MN

The Challenge

St. Cloud Apollo High School sought to advance its district vision for creating flexible, hands‑on, and project‑based learning environments. However, working within an existing and constrained building footprint made it difficult for the school to imagine how labs, collaboration areas, and cross‑disciplinary relationships could be strengthened without major reconstruction.

The Solution

BNDRY Studio, partnering with JLG Architects, brought its expertise in educational planning, design, and CTE programming to guide a highly collaborative process. The team reimagined lab zones, improved visibility between programs, and strategically introduced adaptable collaboration spaces directly adjacent to hands‑on learning areas. This approach not only optimized the existing footprint but also intentionally supported cross‑curricular connections and expanded opportunities for students and staff.

The Benefits

The integrated design elevated the potential of each program area, creating richer, more connected learning experiences than any single discipline could achieve independently. By transforming constraints into opportunities, BNDRY Studio helped Apollo High School realize a future‑ready environment where visibility, flexibility, and collaboration all thrive, strengthening the school’s ability to deliver impactful, project‑based learning.
